I'd like to invite three course participants to team up with me for Week 1 task. I'm uploading the power point presentation (see attached file) I started yesterday for you to see it. It is just a first draft as I was brainstoriming and trying to use the jing application Nellie suggested. What you'll see is my idea of the structure we can use also suggested by Nellie (KWHL Technique). Of course, there is a lot to be done yet (contents, the audio or video, etc).
If you are interested in working with me, please reply to this post. I still have to figure out how to share the document so that all team members can make changes and add information (it is a google drive doc).
Marisol I loved it. Great work I guess you work with young children or feel like an explorer yourself with this learning experience. I teach English as a foreign language and I'd to join your team. We could team up - sharing could be done easil through google drive or a wiki. I've just figured out that we need a blog as well. Have you got one. I've set up a couple so I can do it. We could invite Teresa, she's been so helpful with her reply.
see if it works. When we team up we can decide how to go on, or if you have something else on your mind let me know.
I don't know how it works here, but when I work in Google drive I share the document with people ( we need to enter emails for that) and we work as a closed group. For me all solutions are open.
Kudos to you on your ppt! I just saw it and loved it. Very creative!! Bravo!!! :-)
I think we can work in Google docs. That's a good idea. I'll gladly work with the group and will also try to create something on my own based on the help I tried to give in my blog yesterday.
I have having the same issues. I do not know what I am supposed to be looking for, so if I see it, I won't recognize it anyhow. I thought this was a course management system, but I think it's actually a bulletin board system. I did find something somewhere that allows you to make a topic and put some activities there, but I'm not sure where it was now and how to get back there.
Which group is this for? I'm in the beginner group. Our group doesn't have all this stuff. We have only a video to watch and an introduction to do for week 1.
I'm also a bit lost and can't always find answers to my doubts, but let's see if I can help a bit.
In the Moodle for Beginners (M4B) Week 1 tasks, look at the top left where you'll find links to the Week 1 tasks. Click on each and take a look at the content.
What I also did was to go to the General Practice Area (you need to create a new account, if you haven't done so yet) where I created "Teresa's Playground" to I start "playing" around. I
turned editing on (top right)
got hold of a free topic
clicked the little cogwheel (left) under the "Topic titte"
renamed the topic (you need to uncheck "Use default section name")
wrote a short Summary
clicked "Save changes"
To insert and activity or resource, click "Add an activity or resource", choose what you want and... carry on. :-)
So far I inserted two Resources, a link and a video. You need to scroll down to see my area. It's nothing special.
I also created an external blog, which is linked to the course Moodle, where I reflect, but basically register how to do things. This is my blog.
You got is all right! We planned to send you to the sandpit to play later -- in Weeks 2, 3. Right now read and understand what the tools are all about.
Thanks, Ludmila! I was starting to wonder if we were supposed to practise resources and activities in an "M4T environment" or simply digest the information before, as you say, "going to the sandpit" next week ;-) Thanks for making it clear!!! I´ll focus on my artifact now. :)
Wonderful, helpful, enlightening. Thanks a million Teresa. There is a little thing I'd like to ask- did you use the same username in GPA as here? If so you get to see GPA in your courses on the left?
